If you’ve landed here while searching for a Burlington photographer, you may notice something a little different about my brand photos.
Yes — there are the polished portraits. Yes — there’s the camera in hand. And yes… there’s also a horse standing beside me in an open field at golden hour.
That image isn’t a marketing prop. It’s my story.

Photography Started Long Before Fyvie Studios
Long before Fyvie Studios officially launched in January 2020, photography quietly followed me through every season of life.
In 2009, I purchased my first professional camera before traveling through places like Scotland, Italy, and the Philippines. I spent countless hours photographing landscapes — chasing dramatic skies, rolling hills, architecture, and the feeling of a place.
Those early years taught me how to see light. How to wait for emotion. How to notice beauty in the details.
And interestingly enough, the name Fyvie itself has Scottish roots — a family name that felt deeply personal and connected to where my creative journey first began.

My Career Taught Me Strategy
Before becoming a full-time photographer, I worked as a Global Experience Manager for a Fortune 100 IT company.
While that may seem worlds away from photography, it shaped how I run my business today.
I learned how to create exceptional client experiences. How to communicate clearly. How to build systems that make people feel taken care of.
That corporate background gave me the strategy. Photography gave me the creative outlet.
Fyvie Studio became the place where both worlds collided.
Motherhood Changed Everything
Becoming a mother shifted the way I view photographs forever.
Suddenly, photos weren’t just beautiful images. They became proof.
Proof that your children were once this small. Proof that life moved quickly. Proof that moments we think we’ll never forget can actually fade over time.
That perspective is a huge reason I’m so passionate about family photography.
I want families to have images that feel emotional, candid, and full of movement — photographs that preserve connection instead of stiff poses.
Why Horses Are Part of My Brand Story
And then there’s the horse.
For those who know me personally, this part makes complete sense.
For those meeting me for the first time — horses have always been a huge part of my life.
They represent freedom. Strength. Calmness. Connection.
They also happen to be one of the reasons I built one of my favorite specialties: equine photography.
From powerful black-background equine portraits to golden field sessions with horse and rider pairs, photographing horses feels incredibly natural to me because I genuinely understand the bond between horse and owner.
That’s why including a horse in my branding session felt important.
It tells the truth about who I am.
When clients hire me, they aren’t just hiring someone with a camera.
They’re hiring someone who understands storytelling, emotion, family connection, animals, and the quiet magic that happens when beautiful light meets real moments.
What I Photograph Today
Today, Fyvie Studios specializes in:
Whether I’m photographing children running through a field at sunset, creating dramatic black-background horse portraits, capturing a dog’s personality in studio, or helping businesses elevate their brand presence — my goal is always the same:
To create imagery that feels elevated, emotional, and unforgettable.
Why This Branding Session Matters
These branding photos of me standing in a field with a horse perfectly capture what Fyvie Studio is built on:
Warm light. Authentic storytelling. Connection. Elegance. And a life deeply rooted in both motherhood and horses.
This isn’t just what I photograph.
It’s who I am.
And I think the best brands are built when people can truly see the person behind them.
If you're looking for a photographer in Burlington, Ontario who values meaningful storytelling and imagery with heart, I’d love to connect.
Welcome to Fyvie Studios.
